Better start training then...

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step and getting this website up and running is my first step.
I remember feeling this way when I launched The Brutal Extreme Triathlons. I was nervous…excited… I wondered if people would like the event as much as I did.
The idea of the Brutal Deca came to me 12 months ago when I was thinking about the goals I wanted to achieve. The Channel, a Deca, Lejog, an ultra run through Wales. Before I knew it, I was planning routes and it came together in about 10 minutes!
Actually believing I could do it was a lot harder! Getting the support
of Dave Clamp (www.daveclamp.com)
and him agreeing to coach me helped enormously. After that, other things
began to fall into place and although I'm still feeling incredibly nervous
about the challenge, it's starting to feel real.
My fitness levels are not great at the moment. I have spent the last 2 years working very hard and neglecting my training. I have also recently had an operation, which took a while to recover from. So I'm aware that I have a long way to go but I am very excited about it.
